Barbara Elizabeth Evans

Clayton – Barbara Elizabeth Stefan Evans, age 88, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at Clayton Rehab. She was born in Fayette, PA on March 28, 1938 to the late Andrew Stefan Jr. and Thelma Grace Friend Stefan. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Wilson T. Evans Sr.; son, James E. Chrise; daughter, Jeanette Chrise Egerer.

The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM. A graveside service will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Selma Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her children, John E. Chrise, Troy Lee Evans, Wilson T. Evans Jr., and Joy Ellen Chrise; grandchildren, Jill-mary Catherine Chrise, Joseph David Chrise, Haley Nicole Evans, Hannah Elizabeth Evans, Dylan T. Evans.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
