Barbara Gale Stewart

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Barbara Gale Lassiter Stewart, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-10:45AM, Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00AM in the Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, NC.

Mrs. Stewart was born on June 29, 1936 in Johnston County, NC, to the late David Phillip Lassiter and Mable Nannie Barbour Lassiter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ray Stewart; son, Anthony Ray Stewart; brother, David Phillip Lassiter; sister, Anne Lassiter Kenny; and special friend, Billy Ray Parker. Mrs. Stewart worked for Krispy Kreme Donuts, and was a homemaker. She loved crabbing with her family, gardening, and making fig preserves.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan Gail Barbour; and Angela Pearl Berry and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Amanda Gail Parker, Jamie Ann Stewart Johnson, Shane Stewart, and Cody Duane Rowe; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
