Billie Ann Creech Peal

Billie Ann Creech Peal, 87, of Princeton passed away Friday, September 25, 2026. She was born in Johnston County on October 19, 1938, the youngest daughter of the late William Herman Creech and Ione Woodley Creech.
She was a 1956 graduate of Princeton High School, before attending Campbell College and Atlantic Christian College. She was a member of Princeton Baptist Church for 80 years.
Mrs. Peal was employed by WMPM Radio as a news reporter in the late 1950s and at Carolina Telephone and Telegraph. She also worked with the United States Census Bureau.
She travelled extensively through Europe with her U. S. Air Force husband, especially in Germany, Italy, France, Iran and Israel.
She was a long-time volunteer serving as an assistant den mother with pack 23 of the Princeton cub scouts, with Keep Johnston County Beautiful, 4-H and the Johnston County Cooperative Extension Service, and was a charter member of the Johnston County 4-H Alumni Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William Ray Peal; daughter, Willa Ann Peal Parker and son-in-law, Rex Allen Parker of Princeton and her eldest sister, Mary Elizabeth (Lib) Radford of Pine Level.
Survivors are a son, William Ray Peal, Jr. of Princeton, a sister, Jean Creech Worley of Smithfield and nephews, Dr. William H. (Bill) Radford and wife, Alice of Pine Level, Norwood Earl Worley, Jr. of Smithfield and Paul Creech Worley and wife, Dr. Tonya Worley of Smithfield.
There will be a Graveside Service on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Thomas & Rebecca Creech Cemetery, 1335 Rains Crossroads Rd, Princeton, with the Reverend Thomas Collings officiating.
