Mrs. Brenda Benson House, age 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. House was born May 24, 1957 in Johnston County to the late Gaston and Bonnie Benson. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Gaston and Bonnie Benson, brothers Aaron Benson and Durwood Benson and sister Margaret Dixon.
Mrs. House retired after 30 years with Johnston County Schools as a Kindergarten Teacher Assistant. Mrs. House’s passion for teaching was evident by the many young lives she touched at both Pine Level and Micro Elementary Schools. She had a love like no other for all the children she had through the years whether they were on her school bus route or in her class. It can definitely be said that Brenda House touched the lives of so many during all her years of dedicated service to the Johnston County Public School System.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m., just prior to the service.
Mrs. House is survived by her husband, Dennis House; son, Jay House (Lizzy Jones-House); daughter, LaShay Mooring (Chris Mooring); sisters, JoAnn Hester (Glenn Hester), Vicky Edwards (Forrest Edwards), brothers; Bobby Benson (Carol Benson), Duke Benson (Carol Benson), 5 grandchildren; Emily House, Ethan House, Chrislyn Mooring, Shayla Mooring and Justin House, and loved by several nieces and nephews.
