Brenda Gail Parrish Manning, age 68, died Sunday morning at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Born July 25, 1953 in Johnston County to the late Wiley Clifton and Adele Price Parrish, she was preceded in death by a son, Jason Tart Freeman; brothers, Charles Winston Parrish, Wiley Keith Parrish and Donald Craig Parrish and sisters, Janice Marie Hall, Kathleen Parrish and Bonnie Parrish.
Gail worked as a waitress for many years in several local restaurants.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the home of her friend Jean West, 1431 NC Highway 39, Selma, NC 27576.
Surviving are her son, Danny Wayne Freeman, Jr. of Selma, sisters, Phyllis Parrish Poole and Betsy Parrish Beasley both of Selma; three grandchildren, Jason Carpenter, Jaden Carpenter and Hannah Carpenter and a great granddaughter, Sunny Kate Brown.
