Pine Level – Brenda Jane Pittman Phillips, age 79, passed away Monday May 6, 2024 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. She was born in Johnston County on September 19, 1944 to the late Gilbert Wade Pittman and Mildred Creech Pittman. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Hillard Keith Phillips and a brother, Jerry Pittman.
The family will receive visitors in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Friday May 10, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will follow the visitation on Friday in the chapel at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow the service in Micro Memorial Gardens.
Brenda is survived by her son, Brian Phillips, and wife Wendy of Pine Level; a daughter, Lisa Persson, and husband Kenneth of Raleigh; brothers, Billy Pittman and wife Emma of Clayton, Mack Pittman of Smithfield, Danny Pittman, and wife Donna of Pine Level; grandchildren, Daniel Phillips and fiancé Sara-Beth, Justin Phillips and fiancé Gracie, Alayna Phillips, Annika Persson and Nicklas Persson.
Brenda was a member at Parrish Memorial Baptist Church in Pine Level. She enjoyed reading, cooking, spending time with her late husband and spending time with her precious grandchildren.
