Fuquay-Varina, NC: Mrs. Brenda Sue “Brink” McLamb Bass, age 73, of Pear Tree Lane passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held-1:00 PM Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Officiating will be Pastor Jimmy Holder. Burial will follow in Rawls Baptist Church Cemetery in Fuquay-Varina, NC. In honor of her love of purple, the family requests the attendants of the funeral service to wear a little something purple in her memory.
Mrs. Bass was born on February 15, 1950 in Harnett County to the late Milton “Bill” McLamb and Matrice Young McLamb. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Zebedee Bass and brothers, Robert Earl McLamb and Billy Ray McLamb.
Mrs. Bass retired from Tipper-Tie after many years and was a member of Rawls Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina. She was a Tarheel fan, loved going to the mountains and visiting Cherokee, and never missed an episode of The Young and the Restless. She will be remembered as a loving mama, nannie, great nannie, sister, and friend.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy Bass and husband, Michael; Pamela Phillips, and Kim Bailey and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Zeb Bass; Marie Baker, Mackenzie Lacey, Winter Bolton, Sarah Bailey, Madison Bailey, Robert Bailey, and Andria Bailey; great grandchildren, Jeremiah Baker and Adaleya Baker; sisters, Shirley Smith and Linda Collier; brother, Milton “Shorty” McLamb Jr. and wife, Susie; sister-in-law, Gloria Mae Mclamb; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home and in the Rawls Baptist Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the committal service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Rawls Baptist Church at 10665 US-401 Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
