Fuquay-Varina, NC: Ms. Bridget Pleasant Maupin, age 50, of Fuquay-Varina passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Memorial Service will be held-3:00 PM Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Ms. Tabitha Spann.
Bridget was born on February 1, 1973 in Wake County to the late Bruce Kent Pleasant and to Charlene Stevens Johnson. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clarence and Doris Pleasant and her maternal grandparents, David and Violene Stevens.
Bridget was an extremely talented artist in the mediums of visual art, makeup artistry, and hair styling. She enjoyed music, movies, creative writing, coffee, and reading. She loved spending time with her family, especially her son, Caleb and traveling to the mountains and the beach. She will be remembered as a loving partner, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Survivors include her partner of 15 years, Jason Ussery; son, Caleb Maupin; mother, Charlene Johnson and step-father, David Johnson; sister, Kasey Flowers and husband, Matt; brother, Shane Pleasant and wife, Julia; step-sisters, Jessica Moore and husband, Thomas and Melissa Essick; nieces, Sydney and Julia Flowers; nephews, River and Rowan Pleasant; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service.
