Clayton- Carl Booker Phillips, age 91, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at his home in Clayton. Born in Johnston County on August 15, 1931, he was a son to the late James Raeford Phillips and Mary Alice Garner Phillips.
Mr. Phillips was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was also a member of Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his son, Carl Dwayne Phillips.
Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Eula Mae Phillips of Clayton, and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
