Carl James Carlson, aged 46, of Selma, NC, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on June 27, 2024. Born on July 28, 1977, in Everett, Washington, Carl was known for his larger than life personality and his even bigger heart. Carl’s life was marked by his faith, love, and laughter, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those he touched.
Carl was a devoted husband to Brandy of 21 years and a loving and protective father to Jillian, age 19 and Garrett, age 15. His father Gary Carlson and stepmother Cheryle Carlson of Marysville, WA were very proud of the man he had become. He was the cherished son of Jill Carlson of Republic, WA. His siblings, Corissa Robison and spouse Clayton of MN, Matthew Warren, Ashley Warren, Miles Price, and Somer Carlson, all of WA, will forever remember him as a loving brother and someone they could always rely on.
Professionally, Carl dedicated over 12 years to the Fred Smith Company as a Superintendent, where his commitment and loyalty were deeply valued by his colleagues and friends alike. Outside of work, Carl was passionate about the outdoors. He enjoyed kayaking, camping, and rock crawling with his Jeep. Woodworking was another one of his hobbies, and he took great joy in being present for all his children’s activities, never missing a chance to be involved in their lives.
Visitation will be held at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC, on July 2nd from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Services will follow on July 3rd at 2:00pm.
