
Carol Vick Tedder, 84, of Lucama went to her heavenly home and was reunited with her beloved husband, on March 25, 2025 at Wilson Pines.
Carol was born on September 28, 1940. She was the daughter of Selby and Naomi Vick. She married the love of her life and soul mate, Kenneth Ray Tedder on December 19, 1958. She graduated from Nahunta High School in 1959. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She farmed alongside of her husband for many years. She also worked in the Children’s Department at Belk’s in Wilson for a number of years. She was a member of Piney Grove FWB Church in Kenly where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She had been a resident of Wilson Pines since August of 2017, where she made many friends.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Lynn Boswell (Steven), Kim Martin (Anthony) and her son, Wayne Tedder (Jackie); her grandchildren, Jennifer Loflin (Adam), Ashley Boswell, Kristin Smith (Andrew), Angela Stallings (Robert), Jessica Martin (Luke); her great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Emory, Olivia, Maryn, Ethan, Reid, Obren, Danny, Danielle, Rebecca, Jadden and Axel; and a special relative, Lewis Martin. She was aunt to many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Garlon Vick (Dora Ellen) and Kenneth Vick.
A funeral service to honor Carol’s life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service. Interment will be at White Oak Presbyterian Church Cemetery following the service. The family will have a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.
