Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Carolyn Massengill Lee Johnson, age 79 passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at her residence. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM, Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Rev. Darren Brisco will officiate. Burial will follow in Faith Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery outside Four Oaks, NC.
Mrs. Johnson was born January 12, 1944, in Johnston County, NC to the late George Henry Massengill and Mary Frances Jackson Massengill. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lundy Eston Lee and Dennis Michael Johnson, grandchildren, Carmeron Michael Hall, Garrett Lee Hall, and Anthony Brian Hall; siblings, Della Nowell, Elsie Evans, Richard Massengill, and Edith Bierman. Mrs. Johnson retired from Good Hope Hospital in Erwin, NC. She was member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC.
Survivors include her daughter, Loretta Hall and husband, Tony; grandchildren, Toni Faith Braswell and husband, Joseph, Jesse Hall, and Amanda Benson and husband, Derek; great-grandchildren, Grayson Braswell, and Halle Jo Benson; brother, George Massengill and wife, Mary; many nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
The family will receive friends following the committal service at the graveside on Tuesday.
Flowers are welcomed, however; memorials may be made to the Unity Youth For Christ, C/O Shelly Johnson 304 Unity Church Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
