Cathy Marie Holland, 81, of Wilson went home to meet her Lord and Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Wilson Rehabilitation & Nursing Center of Wilson surrounded by her loving family.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Roney Wesley Allen and Lissie Davis Allen; husband Charles Holland; siblings, Hilda Allen Barfield Gardner, Roney Frederick Allen and James Ray Allen; and granddaughter, Natalie Nicole Holland.
Ms. Cathy was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother to all who were blessed to call her those titles. She never met a person she did not like. Cathy was known to be a woman of faith, who loved her church and had a heart of gold. She would not hesitate to give you the shirt off her back. She was also an excellent cook!
More than anything, she loved her family, and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived and loved by sons, Charles Ray Holland (Linda) of Rocky Mount and Michael Wayne Holland (Cindi) of Rolesville; a daughter, Kimberly Holland Crisp of Pinetops; grandchildren, John David Crisp IV, Timothy Milton Crisp, Taylor Elizabeth Crisp, Justin Ray Crisp, Heather Renae Rivera; great grandchildren, Michael Rivera, Tori Marshall, and Tiara Holland; siblings, Billy Allen, Margie Allen Fields, Johnny Wilton Allen, E.R. Allen, Jenny Lou Allen Privette, Shirley Allen Baker and Ruby Lee Godwin Wooten.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Rosebud Free Will Baptist Church in Wilson from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM.
It is a very solemn occasion for all who love her, but it is known that she is in a better place now and she’s singing in Heaven with her family and friends and her husband who’s gone on before her.
Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as her body is laid to rest this week.
