Cecil Ray Barbour

Smithfield – Cecil Ray Barbour, age 89, passed away Wednesday October 29, 2025 at his home in Smithfield. He was born on November 13, 1935 to the late Jessie Gaston Barbour and Nora Rebecca Ellis Barbour. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Barbour; a son, Ronnie Barbour; 12 brothers and sisters.

No formal services will be held at this time.

He is survived by his son, Barry Barbour and wife Rae of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Barbour of Raleigh, Brandon and Tyler Barbour of Clayton; many nieces and nephews.

Cecil was a proud marine and served his country during the Korean War. His enjoyment in life was beach music and shagging. He retired with 40 plus years of service at Perry Brothers Tire’s in Smithfield.
