Connie Elaine Brown

Selma – Connie Elaine Dorsey Brown, age 77, passed Monday June 8, 2026 at Gabriel Manor Assisted Living in Clayton. She was born in Nash County on October 3, 1948 to the late James Wilson Dorsey and Annie Helen Gay Dorsey. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne, James Michael and Randy Dorsey.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday June 13, 2026 at The Church at Clayton Crossings from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. A private burial will be held in Selma Memorial Garden.

She is survived by her son, Lance Brown and wife Mary Jay of Wilsons Mills; sister, Debbie Mullen and husband Kenneth of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Elizabeth Dooley and husband Sean, Julia Stone.

Connie was a member at Branch Chapel FWB Church and loved traveling in her spare time. She enjoyed going to the beach, but most of all the drive to it. She worked for KS Bank for over 50 years and held a multitude of positions during that time.
