Connie Page House

Selma – Connie Page Exum House, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. She was born in Johnston County on April 18, 1936, to the late George Franklin Exum and Piety Barnes Exum. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, J.R. House; a daughter-in-law, Brenda House; brothers, Harold, Javis, and Burleigh Exum; sisters, Sybil and Bettie Exum; and a grandchild, Morgan.

A graveside service will be held at the Grace Baptist Church cemetery on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Marvin Ownley officiating.

Connie is survived by her sons, Dennis, Clay, and wife Nancy and Anthony House; daughter, Lee Perkins and husband John; sister, Peggy Anderson; grandchildren, Jay, LaShay, Shane, Elizabeth; step grandchild, Brittany and Kelli; great grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Justin, Shayla, Chryslin, Lila, and Millie;

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and truly had a servant’s heart. She was known for her love of traveling, cooking, and reading. She poured into her family, friends, and neighbors.
