Cordia Louise Clark Sorensen, 80, of Princeton passed away at UNC Johnston Health on Saturday, October 7, 2023. She was born in Fulton County, Georgia on April 10, 1943 to the late Lonnie James Clark, Sr. and Rozella Moree Clark. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Patrick Sorensen and daughter, Rozella Hamilton.
Louise was known for baking brownies, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and celebrated Christmas all year long. She loved being with her “Best Friend, Coco”, her canine companion. Most of all, she loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, Lonnie Sorensen (Jenny) of Princeton, Tony Sorensen (Nikki) of Winterville, and Jerome Barber (Jeannette) of Roanoke, AL; sister, Martha Parrish of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, LJ Sorensen (Katie), Dallas Sorensen, Aedyn Sorensen, Kash Sorensen, Kaiden Sorensen, Kynzlee Sorensen, Casey Hand (Dale), Stacy Royster (Bobby), and TJ Barber (Sandy); great grandchildren, Liza, Chase, Kaleigh, Ainsley, Alice, Gabriel, Adrianna, Bradley, Nichole, and Gracie; two half-sisters, a stepsister and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with the Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating. The burial will take place on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 12, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests contributions be made in memory of Louise Sorensen to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
