Cynthia Lynne Childers, 57, of Goldsboro, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024. Ms. Childers was born March 7, 1967 in Columbus, Ohio to the late, Joseph Montrose and Sally Ann Lemaster Childers. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her grandparents; Robert and Elsie Lemaster, Rusia Clark and Yule Childers.
Cynthia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 1990 from UNC Wilmington. Later she earned her Certificate in Special Ed.. She loved being a teacher. She worked at the Wayne Preparatory Academy. Cynthia loved scrapbooking and traveling everywhere. Cynthia never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was considered a peace keeper.
A Celebration of Cynthia’s Life is being scheduled for the beginning of the school year. She will later be laid to rest beside her mother.
Cynthia is survived by her, twin brother; Brian Childers, uncle; Bob Lemaster and wife Tinnia, niece; Shelby Childers, nephews and nieces; Christian Garrett Erickson, Tyler Gene Erickson, Briana Moore, Jr Woodall, grandnieces & nephews; Fisher Gene Erickson, Harmony Paris Niebauer, Special friends include; Marie and Donnie Peters, Nancy Truhan, Mr. Jeff Winbush, Mr. John Twitty and the whole staff of Wayne Preparatory Academy, Payton Lindsey, Hanna Renolds and Zachary Lilly, Patrick Breshears.
Although flowers are welcomed, the family suggests, memorial contributions be made to Wayne Preparatory Academy in honor of Cynthia Lynne Childers.
