Clayton – Daniel Stephen Womack, age 67, passed away Saturday October 5, 2024 at his home in Clayton. He was born in Columbia, SC on December 10, 1956 to the late Hester Womack and Julia Black Womack. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by his brother, David Womack Sr., and a nephew, David Womack Jr.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday October 9, 2024 at Johnston Union Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
Daniel is survived by his sister, Missy Womack (Andre) of Clayton; favorite cousin, Theresa Boyce (Jeff) of Bahama, NC; nephews, Jonathan and Joshua Womack, Lochlan (Harley), and Liam McFatter; nieces, Whitney Womack (Nick), and Juliann Mcfatter; cousins, Kelsey Stamps (Tristen) and Kamryn Boyce; great nieces, Athena, and Cecilia McFatter, Hayden Noreault; great nephew, Mason Noreault.
Mr. Womack was a member at Johnston Union Church in Clayton and was very active in the church. Most often he could be found at any of the church’s functions, especially the softball games, where he was their biggest supporter. Daniel was also involved with the children’s church. He loved all things Christmas. He was prepared to decorate for Christmas on November the 1st with all Halloween decorations coming down at midnight. He loved gospel music and Elvis. Danny never met a stranger. He enjoyed long conversations with everyone of all ages.
