Danny Wayne Stallings, age 65, passed away on February 5, 2023 at his home in Smithfield. Born on March 15, 1957 in Johnston County, he was a son to the late Johnny Stallings and Lillie Parnell Stallings.
Danny was a very skilled painter, carpenter, and jack of all trades. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, fishing, and being outdoors. Danny loved life and loved to make people laugh. He was a great story teller and always made people feel special. Danny loved spending time with his boys and his grandchildren. He was a friend to all and would do anything for anybody. Danny was so loved and cared for by his sisters. He had a heart of gold!
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in Selma Memorial Gardens.
In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Jr. Stallings, and Dennis Earl Stallings.
Danny is survived by his sons, Joseph Daniel Stallings and fiancé Caroline Robertson of Selma; Robert Dennis Stallings and wife Angela of Selma; sisters, Judy Braswell of Pine Level; Evelyn Edmundson of Kenly; Rita Perry of Smithfield; grandchildren, Robert Danny Stallings; Rebekah Madison Bradley; granddaughter on the way, Danielle Marie Stallings; Nieces and Nephews, Jamie, Crystal, Ryan, Todd, Chris, and Chad.
