Smithfield – Daphne Barnes Bullock, age 81, passed away Saturday October 29, 2022 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. She was born in Harnett County on March 18, 1941 to the late Elton Barnes and Ernestine Gray Barnes. In addition to her mother and father, she is also preceded in death by sister, Beverly Bowden; brothers, Tony and Phillip Barnes.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday November 4, 2022 at 3 PM. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 PM to 3 PM. Entombment will follow the service in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Bullock is survived by son, Allen Bullock of Knightdale; daughter, Tammy White and husband Mark of Kenly; granddaughters, Kelly Snipes and husband Jakob, Rebecca Brantley and husband Ethan and a great granddaughter that is on the way, Josie.
Ms. Bullock loved her friends, family and grandchildren. She was known to always be out visiting her friends and family sharing meals with them. In addition to spending time with her biological grandchildren, she also loved her “adopted” family, Ricky, Jennifer, Brayden, and Jace Watkins. You could always spot her in town in her little purple truck. She frequented McDonalds, Roses and Walmart either just to look or run errands for her late friend Alice Rose. She was loved by her children, grandchildren, friends, and will be dearly missed.
