Selma – Delta “Tootsie” Lee-Williams, age 76, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, in the SECU Hospice House of Smithfield, surrounded by her family. Born, August 20, 1947, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Clifton Crumpler and Dorothy Ballanger Crumpler. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Warren G. Lee, son, Shane Lee, and brother, Terry Crumpler. Delta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to many. She loved her family; they were her number one priority always. Delta also enjoyed working in her garden, playing with the grandkids, and caring for all her loved ones. She enjoyed arts and crafts, family traditions, beach trips and watching movies. Delta’s love left impressions on so many during her life, and will continue to live on in those left behind.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home, with the burial to follow in the Creech’s Cemetery in Brogden. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. and following the service at 3981 Progressive Church Rd, Princeton, NC, 27569.
She is survived by her husband, Benny Earl Williams, beloved dog, Abigail, children; Simona Fritz (Jeremy) of Leland, Benjamin Williams (Amanda) of Kenly, Tina Grimes (Monte) of Princeton, sisters, Peggy Ward of Selma, Brenda Davis of Star, grandchildren; Buddy Lee, Hannah Shirley, Cody Pettus, Stormy Wiggins, Ryan Williams, Robbie Benfield, Rosie Mitchell, great-grandchildren; Aidan Lee, AddiGrace Lee, Genevieve Godfrey, as well as many nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.
