Kenly – Dennie Ray Bridgers, 69, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Duke University Hospital in Durham. Born on June 10, 1955 in Johnston County, he was son to the late Robert Bridgers and Edna Woodard Bridgers.
Dennie is survived by his sisters, Ann Bridgers-Ellinger and husband, Gary, and Linda Bridgers-Hoskins; his nephew, Christopher Hoskins and wife, Julie; his nieces, Angie Spivey and Amanda Eugenia; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dennie was preceded in death by his wife, Vonnie Kaye Bridgers, and his brothers, Robert “Pete” Bridgers, Jr., Sydney “Randy” Bridgers, and Gregory Bridgers.
A graveside service to honor Dennie’s life will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Langley-Daniel Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
