Donna Toole Ball

Donna Toole Ball, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born on July 29, 1959, in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Linzey Toole and Brenda English.

Donna was a devoted member of Sardis Baptist Church. She had a love for cooking and enjoyed collecting pots, pans, and Tupperware. She also cherished her extensive jewelry collection, which brought her much happiness over the years. Above all, Donna’s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Dewberry officiating.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Hayden Ball; children, Phillip Batten and Robert Scott (Jenny), Adrienne Morrissey (Gary Lowery), Amanda Jacobs (Ron Jacobs), Alex Strickland (Jacob Strickland), Jeremy Lowe (Tori), Jill Slone (David), Stacey (Bill); and grandchildren, Gracie, Lily, Lindsey, Faith, Logan, Jada, Jaydan, Quinton, Connor, Bryson, Kelsey, Geanna, Tolson, Josh, Chris, Maddie, Alayna, Emma, Jameson, Stori, Karleigh, Bryson, and Ryleigh. She is also survived by her brothers, Howard, Chris, and Linzey; and sisters, Belinda and Lynn.

Donna will be remembered for her warmth, her sense of humor, and her love of family. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
