Dora Lee Baker

Smithfield – Dora Lee Baker, 87, passed away at Johnston Memorial Hospital. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Gertrude Baker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Casey; brothers, Sherill Baker of Smithfield and Jerry Baker of Princeton.

She is survived by her daughter Kelly Sutton and her “Heart Son” Eddie Sutton Jr.; grandson, Bryan Stanley; great grandson, Blayden Stanley; sisters, Joyce Daughter of Goldsboro, Connie McLamb and Beth Frye of Wilsons Mills; brother, David Baker of Moorpark, CA.

The meaning of selflessness is “having little or no concern for oneself, prioritizing others needs and interest above your own, and acting unselfishly”, but it should read, “Dora Lee Baker”. Staying true to her nature, mothers request was no funeral services and for everyone to visit with family and friends more often, because you never know when your last time will be. “Love you more”, would always be her last words with you, so I will leave this as her final words to all, Love you more”!
