Dreamer Elysia Godwin, age 20, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was born July 21, 2001 in Johnston County to Andrea and Allen Godwin. Dreamer was a cashier at the Hardee’s Restaurant in Smithfield across from the Centre Pointe Shopping Center, where all of her regular customers loved her.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving are her mother, Andrea Godwin of Smithfield; father and his fiancé, Allen Godwin and Bridgete of Louisburg; maternal grandmother, Barbara Lee of Smithfield; paternal grandparents, Linda and Dennis Godwin of Louisburg; maternal step grand-mother, Nancy McLamb of Rolesville; boyfriend, Trey Neal of Smithfield; brothers, Jordan Godwin and Jeremy Godwin both of Wilson; sister, Skyler Godwin of Fuquay; step-brother, Vaden Boykin of Louisburg and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
