Dustin Wesley Langston

    Birth Date: 05/25/1994
    Deceased Date: 09/02/2023

Dustin Wesley Langston, age 29, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in Sneads Ferry, NC.

Born in Johnston County, on May 25, 1994, he was a son to Joannie Sapp Langston of Sneads Ferry and to the late Robert Wesley Langston.

Dustin was known for his sense of humor and his ability to make anyone his friend. He never met a stranger and against his Mama’s will, always invited his friends to her house, sometimes letting them live there for weeks at a time. Dustin loved his Mama to no end and they were best friends all of his life. They were a package deal and you never saw one without the other.

Dustin had a passion for hospitality and enjoyed helping people from an early age. He began working in customer service as a teenager at Polo Ralph Lauren, where he found an appetite for high quality clothes on a low quality budget. He went on to become a bartender, where he realized that he could get paid while also hanging out with people from all walks of life. Recently, Dustin had been employed by Hilton in Sneads Ferry. He loved his job and would constantly call his friends and family to make sure that they were only staying at Hilton hotels. He had recently been promoted into management.

Dustin went to college in Greenville, North Carolina, where he met so many friends that he continued to keep in touch with. He was always the life of the party and he took that title seriously. In 2017, Dustin moved to Sneads Ferry with his Mama. While living at the beach, he found his zest for life and created so many memories with friends and family members. You cannot think of the beach without thinking about Dustin. He spent his time at the beach driving the golf cart until the wheels literally fell off, enjoying boat rides with his Mama and friends, and listening to his Bose speaker at maximum capacity. Dustin would use expressions and made up verbiage to keep everyone laughing. Many people associate Dustin with saying, “SHOOK”, “IMAGINE DAT”, “SCARED OF”, and so many others that can’t be listed.

Dustin also loved music and dancing, leaving countless memories and videos that shall never be shared in this obituary, with his friends. Dustin’s Mama wanted us to keep this obituary short, but Dustin lived such a long and beautiful life in his short 29 years. To know Dustin was to love him. We ask that anyone reading this live their life unapologetically, just as Dustin did. He left a void in so many hearts that will never be filled, but he left us with the best memories that will make us laugh and smile for eternity.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 11, 2023 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Entombment will follow after the service in Selma Memorial Gardens.

Dustin is survived by his mama, Joannie Langston and her fiancé Kent Edwards; grandmother, Thelma Sapp; aunt, Connie and Uncle, Ricky.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Dustin’s GoFundMe page at https://gofund.me/c1e92846 or, that you contact Parrish Funeral Home for further contact information for donations.
