Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Edward Franklin Thomas, Jr., age 61, of Raliegh Road passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Wake Medical Center in Raliegh surrounded by his loving family. Memorial Services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Blackman’s Grove Baptist Church in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Revs. Rodney Wilson, Tommy Chester, and Dr. John Hedgepath. Family will receive friends following the memorial service.
Mr. Thomas was born on October 31, 1961 in Oklahoma to the late Edward Franklin, Sr. and Lillie Holmes Thomas. He was a US Army Veteran with the rank of Staff Sargent. Mr. Thomas was very involved in various ministries while managing his rental properties. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course, enjoyed listening and playing music. Mr. Thomas loved most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, the loves of his life.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Tina Ladd Thomas; children, Edward Franklin Thomas, III and wife, Brittany, Victoria Michele Thomas; grandchildren, Austyn Michele Goins and Levi Edward Thomas; sister, Dolores Thomas Turlington and husband, Todd; several nieces and nephews.
