Mr. Swem was born on November 8, 1954 in New York to the late Frank Stephenson, Sr. and Mary Chilson Swem. He worked for Tart Salvage in Dunn. Mr. Swem enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving includes his daughter, Alyssa Swem of Erwin; step-son, James Douglas Puckett of Benson; grandchildren, Johnathon William Lee Rhody, Sebastian Ian Swem, James Douglas Dominguez, Josiah Avery Puckett, Faith Nicole Rigsbee.
