Girard Joseph Bonk

Girard Joseph “Jerry” Bonk, 75, was taken to his heavenly home on January 24, 2026, in Four Oaks, North Carolina. Born on October 16, 1950, in Pennsylvania, Jerry lived a life marked by service, dedication, and quiet generosity.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Jerry carried the values of commitment and reliability into every aspect of his life. His professional path began in the 1990s at Natvar. He switched to working as a mechanic with Jiffy Lube and Citgo Lube before joining Flanders, where he remained until his retirement. Known for his mechanical skill and strong work ethic, Jerry earned the respect and trust of those who worked alongside him.
Outside of work, Jerry found joy in fishing and spending time with family. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, football games, and wrestling matches, and he loved attending concerts with those close to him. His approachable nature made him easy to talk to and quick to lend a helping hand.
Jerry is survived by his daughter Kimberly Bonk; son-in-law Nichloes Delisle; and Penelope Johnson—a family friend who considered Jerry as close as a brother—as well as other family members who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. Bonk and Leona Bonk; and his sister LeeAnn Bonk McDowell.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of kindness freely given and love quietly shared. Online condolences can be made at www.parrishfh.com.
