Raleigh – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glenwood “Glen” Adam Toler, age 86. He was born in Johnston County on November 29, 1936 to the late Jimmy Harvey Toler and Viola Hartley Toler. In addition to his mother and father, he is also preceded in death by brothers, Loomis Toler and Warren Hartley; sister, Faye Bissette.
A private graveside service will be held in Selma Memorial Gardens on Wednesday April 19, 2023.
Mr. Toler is survived by wife of 63 years, Diana DeBold Toler as well as several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Upon retiring from the United States Postal Service, he enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a generous and kind man that brightened all of the lives that he knew and will be deeply missed. He asked that he be remembered with laughter and good times.
At his request, memorials may be sent to a church or charity of one’s choice.
