Hazel Flowers Holt, age 84, of Selma, passed away on October 21, 2o22. Born in Johnston County on September 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Gilliam Hudson and Ella Garner Flowers. Her husband was the late Rexford D. Holt. She was also preceded in death by her brother Ernest G. Flowers.
Hazel retired from the NC Department of Motor Vehicles Driver’s License Division. She did volunteer work with her husband for the “Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States” for 20 years. She was a member of Carter’s Chapel Baptist Church and was attending Calvary Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma from 1-2 pm on Tuesday, October 25, followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are two brothers, John T. Flowers of Goldsboro and L. Eskal Flowers of Carthage; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
