Princeton – Hazel Lee Pilkington Worley, age 90, died Friday, June 7, 2024 in the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born May 18, 1934 in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late John and Flora Pilkington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Worth Worley; son, Jeth Worley; sisters, Phyllis Evans and Arelia Edwards.
Hazel served with her husband Worth as a missionary with the Baptist Bible Fellowship in South Korea (1967-1983); in Singapore (1983-1996) and in Russia (1996-2007). She continued to faithfully serve even after retiring.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home.
Surviving are daughters; Ginger Crocker (Ray) of Singapore, Joy Speights (David) of Thailand, and Julie Worley of Princeton; brother, Mihlon Pilkington; sisters, Inez Evans, Marguerite Greene, Betty Evans, and Kay Creech; daughter-in-law, Carol Worley Hunter; and 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
