James Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr., age 65, passed away on April 5, 2026, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Jim was a man full of personality, humor, and heart. He loved fishing and often shared stories of his fishing adventures with his buddies. He enjoyed watching wrestling, sci-fi movies, and had a special fascination with aliens and Bigfoot. Jim had a gift for making people laugh, frequently doing comedic impressions on the fly. He was also a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and cherished the memory of seeing him in concert as a child. Jim never hesitated to break out into song in the middle of a conversation, bringing joy to those around him.

He is survived by his mother, Rachel Kennedy; his sister, Tammy Harms; his brother, Tony Kennedy and his wife, Christina Kennedy; his niece, Kimberly Bohren; and his great-niece, Emma Baker.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.

Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his laughter and stories will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
