Mrs. Janice Faye Gregory Henke, age 81, passed away July 3, 2022 at 7:02 am at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Danny Helmes. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, NC at 1:00 PM.
Mrs. Henke was born on October 17, 1940, in Harnett County to the late Ira Hinton and Eloise Turlington Gregory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major William “Bill” Clifford Henke, son, William Gregory Henke, and brothers, Gene Wayne Gregory and Eastwood William Gregory. Mrs. Henke worked for Sears before her retirement and was a member of Erwin Chapel Church.
Surviving includes her son, Clifford William Henke, and wife, Sam; daughter, Tara Rhom and husband, Eric; grandchildren, Ashley Rhom, Cameron Rhom, Matthew Rhom, and Casey Goodall and husband, Blake; great-grandchildren, Grayson Goodall and Lilly Goodall; brother, Lee “Butch” Andrew Gregory, and wife, Liz; sister, Pat Gregory, and husband, Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home of Pat Ennis at 465 N. Orange St. Coats, NC 27521.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Erwin Chapel Church at 135 Erwin Chapel Road Dunn, NC 28334.
