Smithfield, NC: Mrs. Janice Norris Honeycutt, age 86, of Barbour Court Nursing Home in Smithfield passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Timmy Blair. Burial will follow in the McGee Family Cemetery in Angier.
Mrs. Honeycutt was born on September 20, 1936 in Johnston County to the late James Clinton and Vearl Harper Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kermit Honeycutt and Joseph Daniel Norris. Mrs. Honeycutt was a retried CNA and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Angier.
Survivors include her son, Joseph Lynn Norris and wife, Crystal of Pikeville; adopted-daughter, Marylyn Mercado of Fuquay-Varina; grandson, Logan Norris of Pikeville; granddaughter, Paige Witman of Pikeville; brothers, Ray Johnson and wife, Shelby of Hamlet and Douglas Lynn Johnson and wife, Sharon of Rocky Point; sister, Charlotte Perry of Goldsboro; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 12:45PM to 1:45PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
