Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Jean Hudson Beasley, age 89, of Peach Orchard Road passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held-11:00 AM Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Rev. Dwight Braswell. Burial will follow in the Hood’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton Grove.
Mrs. Beasley was born on October 22, 1934 in Johnston County to the late Allen K. and Addie Jernigan Hudson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Beasley; her sister, Leola Roberts; and her brothers, Tom Hudson and Albert Hudson. She was raised in the farming community of Johnston County and was a member of Hood’s Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Beasley made lifelong friends wherever she went and loved spending time with her family. She was always happy when they stopped in to visit. Mrs. Beasley was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and loved to cook. She was always trying to feed any visitors and teaching her grandchildren how to cook. Mrs. Beasley loved to work in her yard and enjoyed sharing the many varieties of plants and flowers. Many times, over the years, she had a yard full of law enforcement that would stop by for lunch, a snack or just a visit. Always a bit mischievous, she loved a good laugh and wanted to make others happy, even in her final weeks. Mrs. Beasley was a very sweet lady and will be greatly missed in the community and by her friends and family.
Mrs. Beasley is survived by her children, Floyd Thomas (Tommy) Beasley, Judy Beasley Holland; grandchildren, Wendy Jones and husband, Everett, Kelli Bynum and husband, Asa; great-grandchildren, Landen Johnson, AJ Bynum, Perry Bynum, and Abbey Jones; sisters, Jessie Johnson and Magdaline Barbour; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home.
