Benson, NC: Ms. Jean Stewart Hudson, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at her residence. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held 6:00PM-Friday, June 16, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC.
Ms. Hudson was born on October 1, 1955 in Cumberland County, NC to the late William Charles and Gladys Clifton Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Patricia Charlene “Patty” Stewart and Joseph Rollins Stewart, and a nephew, Joseph Rollins Stewart, II. Ms. Hudson was a retired maintenance supervisor with the Benson Housing Authority.
Survivors include her sons, Nathan Henry Stancil of Mt. Olive, NC, and Nicholas Brian Stancil of Vanceboro, NC; granddaughter, Kayden Lynn Stancil of Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends following the Memorial Service on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
The family request those attending the service wear Jean’s favorite color purple.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be sent to Make a Difference Food Pantry, PO Box 606, Mt. Olive, NC 28365.
