Jeffrey Alan Newcomb

    Jeffrey Alan Newcomb, 58, of Goldsboro, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at the SECU House in Smithfield. Jeffrey was born January 7, 1967 in Wayne County to the late James William and Joyce Maxine Waters Newcomb.

    Jeffrey is survived by his wife: Melissa Heath Newcomb, sons; Alan Newcomb (Ashley) and Adam Newcomb both of Goldsboro, sister; Pamela Tyner (Wayne) of Bolivia, grandchildren, Allie Mae Newcomb, Anna Lynn, Conner Bragg, Abigale Makatura, Takashi King and Grand dog; Rhett.

    Jeff worked for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture for 27 years until his retirement. Upon retiring, he continued farming. He was very active with the Wayne County Agriculture Regional Fair organization until his declining health prevented him from participating. Jeff’s passion was with the Fire Department. His love for the Rosewood Fire Department, his fellow firemen and his community was unsurpassed. He was involved with Rosewood Fire Department from 1983-2025. Jeff was an active member of The Bridge Church especially serving with the Usher Team. He loved his family and they all were very special to him, especially his sons, Alan and Adam.

    The Memorial Service will be held 6:00 pm Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at The Bridge Church, 188 Whitley Church Road, Princeton, NC. with Reverand Andy Stovall officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday evening and Monday evening at the home of Tammy Waters Syverson, 106 Camellia Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
