Jennifer “Jenny” Faye Keen

Jennifer Faye (Jones) Keen, age 73, of Smithfield passed away Thursday May 7, 2026, in the Harnett Woods Nursing Facility of Dunn.

Jenny Faye was born on August 2, 1952, in Johnston County, to the late John Henry Jones and Elvie Gilmore Jones. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, John Curtis Jones.

She was a 1970 graduate of SSS high school and enjoyed a long career at Bayer Pharmaceuticals. She was a loving wife and mother. She loved her home, oldies music and could out-dance anyone.

Jenny will be greatly missed by her family and friends but all of us are at peace knowing she is reunited with all her loved ones who have gone before her.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at 1:00 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield.

Jenny Faye is survived by her husband of 17 years, Tommy Keen, her daughter, Shannon Gambrell (Cory) and her grandchildren Caitlyn Gambrell, Ryan Gambrell and John Gambrell as well as her nieces; Priscilla Jones Parker and Mary Jones Alvarado.

Jenny Faye also left behind her two best and lifelong friends, Susie Allen and Audrey Hall.
