Jerry Wayne Evans, 72, entered the gates of heaven on Thursday June 27, 2024. He was born on February 13, 1952 to James Ashley Evans and Thelma Outlaw Oliver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; James Evans, Mark Perry, Adolf Perry and Kenneth Perry.
Jerry was a life long resident of Princeton, NC. At the young age of 15 Jerry married his love, Patricia. They together raised and loved a family of three boys. Jerry lived a simple life and could be found home most days. Jerry was a friend to all; always willing to help others. Often that meant working on cars for various people in the community. Jerry was intelligent, humble and an all around great man.
Jerry is survived by his wife; Patricia Elizabeth Evans, sons; Tracy Evans, Travis Evans & wife April, Troy Evans & wife Melissa all of Princeton, brother; Lovette Perry Jr. of Chesapeake, Va, sisters; Linda Howell of Smithfield, Jean Baker of Clayton, grandchildren; Travis Wayne Evans, Nicholas Evans, Amanda Evans, Evan Evans, Faith Evans and Jenna Phillips, 8 great grandchildren.
A family gathering will be held 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday, July 1, 2024 at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations.
