Jerry Wayne Norris

Jerry Wayne Norris, age 71, of Erwin, entered Heaven’s gates on Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born in Harnett County on November 1, 1953 to the late Eugene and Maude Norris.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Norris, and Donald Norris, and his brother-in-law, Eddie Parnell.

Jerry worked as a residential house painter and his favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. But most of all, he loved spending time with his daughter and granddaughters who brought him great joy.

Mr. Norris is survived by his daughter, Laura Lucas and husband, Travis of Dunn/Erwin and granddaughters, Paisleigh, Mackynzie, and Hattie Lucas; sisters, Joyce Parnell of Erwin and Mary Norris of Dunn; brothers, David Norris and wife Becky of Coats, Charles Norris and wife, Connie of Coats, Ronald Norris and wife Tammy of Erwin, and Kenny Norris of Godwin; as well as his ex-wife, Frankie Ellis and husband-in-law/fishing buddy, James Ellis.  Also several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday evening, October 24, 2025 at the Dunn Funeral Home of Erwin.  A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Dunn Funeral Home of Erwin Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home and other times at the home of daughter, Laura Lucas.

In lieu of flowers, donations toward Jerry’s final expenses may be made at the Dunn Funeral Home of Erwin at 904 Lucas Street or by calling the funeral home at 910-897-6491.  Receipts will be provided to each donor.  The Jerry Norris family thanks you for your support.
