KENLY – Jesse Oris Boykin, 88, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at his home. Born in Wilson County on July 1, 1936, he was son to the late Clovis Boykin, Sr. and Lois Godwin.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in Mount Zion O.F.W.B. Church Cemetery.
Jesse is survived by his sons, Mike Boykin and Joey Boykin and wife Tina; his daughter, Sandra Gail Boykin Ezzell and husband Ken; his sister, Eloise Sutton; his brother, Vernon Boykin and wife, Sue; grandchildren, Andrea Ezzell, Josh Boykin and wife Cynthia, Logan Boykin and Dylan Pinder; and an expected great-grandchild, Matthew Boykin.
In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Mae Boykin and his brothers, Frank Boykin, Clovis Boykin and Clifton Boykin.
