Jimmy Lee Hales

Jimmy Lee Hales, 80, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at his home in Smithfield. Born March 24, 1945, he was the son of the late James Hales and Daphne Wells Hales. In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his daughter, Lynne Rice; and twelve brothers and sisters.

Jimmy worked for IBM up until his retirement. He was an avid Carolina fan and enjoyed sitting outside and chatting with friends. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00am, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one-hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Price Cemetery.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Jimmy Eugene Hales (Judy); daughter, Tammy Lienenkaemper (Ralf); and grandchildren, Brandon Jones and Brittany Norris (Triston).
