Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Joel Brett Moss, age 64, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC. Funeral Services will be held-3:00 PM on Friday May 12, 2023 at Benson Grove Baptist Church in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Billy Cashwell and Randy Perry. Burial will follow in Hills of Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield, NC.
Mr. Moss was born on March 22, 1959 in Harnett County to the late Cary Thomas and Rena Tart Moss. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Moss. Prior to retirement, he was a corrections officer with the North Carolina Department of Corrections. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Shelby Moss; mother, Rena Moss; sons, Brett Moss and wife, Sarah and Kyle Moss and wife, Danielle; grandchildren, Jessie Moss, Parker Moss, Jake Moss, and Kyler Moss; sister, Gail Pleasants; brother, Cliff Moss and wife, Shary; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM prior to the service at Benson Grove Baptist Church in Benson.
Flowers are welcome; however, donations may be made to Benson Grove Baptist Church Family Life Center Building Fund at 6966 NC-50 N. Benson, NC 27504 or to Randy Perry Ministries.
