John Marks Cooper

John Marks Cooper, age 86 originally from Newton Grove went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

He was born on November 1, 1939 in Louisburg to his parents, the late John Alwyn and Margaret Cooper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Elva Lee Cooper, Ann Barefoot, and Margaret Cooper. Also, a sister Jessie Mae Smith.

John is survived by his daughter, Debbie Phillips and son John William (Janele); Grandsons Matthew Phillips (Megan), Joseph Phillips, Jonathan Cooper (Madelyn) and Jarrett Cooper. He is also survived by great-granddaughters, Katelynn Phillips and Allyson Phillips. Also, a sister Louise Goodman, two nieces Heather Adams and Rachel Ann Jackson.

He was a loving husband, daddy, granddaddy and great-granddaddy. John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed here on earth but we will see him again one day in Heaven.
