Dunn, NC: Mr. John Paul Oreshack, age 73, of Denn-Field Lane passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. David Langley. Entombment will follow in Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn.
Mr. Oreshack was born on August 17, 1949 in Elmira, New York to the late, John Paul Oreshack Sr. and Eunice Bennett Oreshack. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fran Oreshack and Howard Oreshack and his mother-in-law, Ora Belle Evans. Prior to retirement, he worked in textiles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.
Survivors include his wife of almost 30 years, Mary Oreshack; sons, David Oreshack, Dwayne Oreshack and wife, Felicia, and Steven Oreshack; step-children, Mike Hunt, Laurie Williford and husband, David, Lisa Hudson and husband, Michael, and Stacy Hunt; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Joe Oreshack and wife, Cheryl and Leroy Oreshack and wife, Cathy; special friend, Misty Manes; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
