Jonas Addison Langdon

    Benson, NC: Mr. Jonas Addison Langdon, age 91, of Benson Hardee Road passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation in Erwin surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held-3:00 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. R.B. Parrish and Rhonda Hamilton. Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier.

    Mr. Langdon was born on January 12, 1932 in Harnett County to the late James Clayborn and Velma Weeks Langdon. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Parrish Langdon and brothers, J.C. Langdon, Wade Langdon, Frank Langdon, and Joe Langdon.

    Mr. Langdon worked hard from his early youth on through retirement, he did many things including farming, carpentry, and fire protection installation. His only hobby was buying, selling, and trading cars which turned into a lucrative business that blessed many people over the years. He was a proud United States Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Banner Post 109 in Benson. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

    Survivors include his children, Jo Ann Langdon Holcomb and husband, Archie of Benson, James Glenn Langdon and wife, Lisa of Burnsville and Larry Wayne Langdon and wife, Laura of Angier; grandchildren, Kristin Stocks and husband, Erik, Jimmy Blake Barbour and wife, Holly, Jonathan Glenn Langdon and wife, Alexis, Dusty Joe Barbour and wife, Ashley, and Will M. Langdon and wife, Amy; great grandchildren, Lucas Barbour, Kennedy Stocks, Liam Barbour, Cash Langdon, Emalyn Barbour, and Hannah Barbour; sisters, Shirley Miller of Benson and Jean Myatt of Lillington; and many nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home.
