Joy Renea House Peedin, age 62, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the SECU Hospice House surrounded by her family. She was born September 6, 1960, in Johnston County to the late Sherwood Lee House and Rachel Peed Crocker and she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff House in 2008 and stepfather, J. Linward Crocker. Joy worked for many years in quality control with Grifols Therapeutics near Clayton and was a member of Stevens Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, April 21, 2023, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Ownley and the Rev. Vernon Braswell officiating. Burial will follow in the Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until 11:00 am Friday, just prior to the service.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Larry Wayne Peedin; sons, Jeremy N. Peedin and his wife Gloria of Clayton and Matthew R. Peedin and his wife Chelsea of Raleigh; daughter, Melissa P. Revels and her husband Adam of Selma and six grandchildren, Colton Peedin, Jacob and Emily Revels and Betsy, Webb and Gray Peedin: stepsisters, Dianne Hopkins of Selma and Teresa Pace of Spring Lake.
