Julius Wayne Hill

Clayton – Julius Wayne Hill, age 75, passed away at his home peacefully on Tuesday February 3, 2026. He was born in Johnston County on October 10, 1950 to the late Joseph Leon Hill and Pearline Toler Hill.

In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Hill; daughter, Freida Mathis; sons, Fred and Zane Winters; grandson, Wade Stell; brothers, James, Johnny, Ray and Charles; sisters, Pete and Wanda.

A celebration of life will be held on at his home on March 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM. All that would like to attend are welcome.

He is survived by daughters, Bonnie Hill Rodriguez (David), Phyllis Coats (Ben), Susan Winters; son, Paul Winters; sister, Judie Hill Smith; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Wayne was a proud Vietnam Veteran and served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper. After service to his country, he worked for over 22 years with the NCDOT as a bridge inspector.
